Air pollution is ranked as one of the top ten causes of premature death by a recent study by the World Health Organization, contributing to ~4.2 million premature deaths every year (WHO, 2020). Exposure to air pollution is a severe health threat resulting in leading contributions to the global burden of disease, especially in developing nations like India. Poor air quality in most urban cities resulted in massive damage to the country's human health, environment, and economy. In general, the air quality management at the city level or regional level was missing in the Indian context. In urban centres, air pollution exposure assessment has emerged as an essential tool to quantitatively determine the air pollutant exposure levels among human beings.
